Karen Sue Ford, 72, of Elkhart, passed away at 3:40 pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Golden Living Center, Elkhart. Karen was born on February 20, 1942, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Adams) Sahli. She is survived by four children, Carolyn (Scott Rowland) Hauer of Jacksonville, FL, Linda (Wally) DeForest of Goshen, Charles “Ed” (Evon) Hauer, Jr. of Salisbury, NC and Billy Ford of Salisbury, NC; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle Price) Carrillo, Sarah (Luis Nieves) Carrillo, Lesia (Mike) Sticca, Scott (Dawn) Babcock, Jr., Toni (Ricky Heston, Jr.) Blankenship, Dezarae (Wesley Lane) Hauer, Brittany Hauer, and Houston Ford; as well as 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Chris Staggs and Damon Ford and four siblings. Karen was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to play Bingo. During her stay in the nursing home, she loved to attend their church services and always looked forward to listening to the music of Dick & Debbie. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling arrangements
