Beth Ann Ray
April 11, 1970 – October 15, 2014

Beth Ann Ray, 44 of Monroe died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She had been in poor health for two years.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home where a rosary service will be held at 4 p.m. She will lie instate Saturday 9 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Stephen Vileo, pastor will officiate with burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Newport.

Born April 11, 1970 in Monroe she was the daughter of Willie F and Pamela M. (Pilon) Ray.

Beth was employed by Wendy’s for twenty-four years at both the Telegraph and North Dixie locations.

She was a 1996 graduate of the Monroe County I.S.D and a member of St. Michael Church and Alter Society. She was also a member of the Saturday morning faith sharing group at St. Mary Church and made her First Communion at St. Joseph Church. Beth was an active member of the Kiwanis Action Club and won member of the year 2014. She always went to the Lunch Noon Time Kiwanis and was a member of the Special Olympics for thirty-six years and participating in swimming, basketball, poly hockey and bowling. She was a member of Special Friends Bowling League at the Monroe Sport Center.

Surviving are her mother Pam Ray of Monroe; sisters, Anne M. Carstensen, Jennifer T. (David) Daniels and Margaret M. (Nye) Turner all of Monroe; aunts, Mary Kurtz of Southgate and Alice (Rhys) Foulkes of Battle Creek; uncles, Jerry (Linda) Pilon of Monroe and Fred (Cutie) Pilon of New Haven, Indiana; nieces and nephews Nathan, Alex, Katie, Chris, Justin, Ben, Ashley, Alyssa and Jacob; great-nieces and nephews Ryan, Bella, and Lily; and her boy friend Tim Loga of Temperance.

Beth was preceded in death by her father; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother-in-law Jeff Carstensen and cousin, Amy Clear.

Memorials may be made to Monroe County Special Olympics or Monroe A.R.C.

The family would like to thank Mercy Memorial Hospice, Dr. Trevedi, Amy and the staff of the Monroe Cancer Center for all the care and kindness shown to Beth.
