Arthur Keith Clawson passed away on October 16, 2014 in Albuquerque. Keith was born in Ramah, New Mexico on March 2, 1941 to Alvin Calbert Clawson and Leola Lewis. Keith was an Eagle Scout, bush pilot in Alaska and built his own plane. Keith was a heavy equipment operator working on the Alaska pipeline and homesteaded in Alaska for 17 years. Keith operated heavy equipment in several coal mines in New Mexico. Keith had an incredible memory and was a wonderful story teller. Keith enjoyed collecting guns, hunting and photography. Keith is survived by his wife, Linda Clawson, siblings, Janey Polich, Ann (Mike) Sullivan, brother-in-law, Sherman Yates, his daughters, Phyllis (Brian) Shingle of Albuquerque, Kathy (Jeremy) Grob of Rio Rancho and Dodie (Curtis) Payne of Albuquerque and sons, Scott (Bobbie) Clawson of Gallup and Troy (Yoni) Clawson of Pine Haven, grandchildren, Brandon Shingle, Jace Shingle, RaeAnna Shingle, Kaylie Shingle, Karl Shingle, Devon Grob, Kyle Grob, Justin (Savannah) Clawson, Amanda Clawson,Trent Clawson, Jeffery Payne, Jay Payne, Kristen Payne, Bryce Clawson, Chloe Clawson. Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Ann Tietjen, his parents, Alvin and Leola Clawson, sister, Nada Clawson Yates and brother-in-law, Ken Polich. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque NM. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Ramah, New Mexico on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Ramah Cemetery following the funeral.
