Wilfred L. "Larry" Chauvin, 90, formerly of Linwood died Tues. Oct 14, 2014 in Milford Hospital after an illness. His wife of 47 years, Fernande B. (Beaumier) Chauvin died March 11, 1994. He is survived by 3 sons Timothy W. Chauvin and his wife Wynter of Nacogdoches, TX, Kenneth M. Chauvin and his wife Melinda of Boone, NC, Daniel A. Chauvin and his wife Shirley of Linwood; 4 daughters Laurie A. Rainville and her husband Arthur of New Bedford, Suzanne M. Joy of Troy, ME, Rebecca A. Hanson and her husband Clinton of Pembroke, Pamela A. Gallagher and her husband John of Norton, MA; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a sister Theresa Boover and her husband Bernard of Linwood. He is predeceased by a brother Raymond J. Chauvin who died in 2011. Born in Quebec, Canada on June 6, 1924 he was the son of Antoine and Marie Louise (Goudreau) Chauvin and lived in Whitinsville his entire life. A graduate of Worcester State College he worked as an Accountant at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester until his retirement. Larry served in the U.S. Army during WWII stationed in the Philippines. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, enjoying spending time with his family. He was also very creative and enjoyed carpentry, painting and stained glass. He was a soft-spoken, gentleman who also enjoyed reading and listening to music. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church and served as a lector in his younger years. He was also a member of the Northbridge Historical Society in Whitinsville many years.

His funeral was held on Mon. Oct. 20 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. A calling hour at the funeral home was held on Mon. Oct. 20 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
