Major League Baseball Player. The light-hitting infielder played for the Louisville Eclipse/Colonels from 1883 to 1885, the New York Metropolitans in 1886 and the Washington Senators in 1891. All those teams were in the American Asasociation, which then was a major league. He drove in 41 runs for the Colonels in 1885. During the previous year he led all shortstops by turning 34 double plays. For his five-year career he had a .192 average. Of his 227 hits, 28 were doubles, 19 were triples and three were homers.
