Martha A. Lombard, 70, of 8 Duchess Lane, died at 4:59 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 1983, in Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient since July 6.
She was born Sept. 9, 1912, to the late Lewis Ray and Mary (Ellis) Griffin. She had spent most of her life in Tiffin, coming here from Barnesville. On Feb. 2, 1968, she married Robert E. Lombard in Indiana and he survives. Two brothers, Jesse and Willard, and a sister, Lucille Downs, died previously.
A retired employee of the J.C. Penney Co., she was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church and of the American Legion Auxiliary.
The body has been cremated and doctor Robert Sherman will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home.
