Mr. Billy Reed Autry, 74, of 2206 Honrine Road, Clinton, died Monday at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro, NC.

Mr. Autry, born in Sampson County, was the son of Ruth Thornton Autry and the late George Autry. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by three children, Karon Francis Autry Bradshaw, Virginia Ruth Autry Spangler and Michael Reed Autry, and two brothers, Sammy Autry and Wayne Autry. He was retired from Kelly Springfield in the tire production business.

Mr. Autry is survived by his wife, Gladys Gaynell Pate Autry of the home, his mother, Ruth Thornton Autry, a son, Billy Gene Autry of Clinton, a brother, Bobby Autry; seven grandchildren, Chrissy Bass, Jason Bradshaw, Neana Thompson, Christopher Cameron, Amana Autry, Lindsy Autry, and Reed Autry; eight great-grandchildren, Hunter Bass, River Bass, Lance Bradshaw, Kaylah Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Izaac Autry, Joshua Autry and Cali Rae Johnson.

The family received friends 6-8pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home of Clinton.

The funeral services were held at 11am, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Hoome Chapel with the Rev. Billy Bass officiating.

Burial was made in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hwy 701, Newton Grove, NC.
