Wilma Maxine Cross

Maxine passed away Tuesday morning October 14, 2014, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was born March 4, 1926 in Callahan County to Herman and Pearl Rudloff. She married R.L. "Bob" Cross, June 1, 1946 in Coleman, Texas. They lived in the Houston and Austin areas for several years before retiring to Early. Maxine worked for GMAC for several years. She loved cooking for people and was a good cook! Her cakes and banana pudding became famous at church socials.

Maxine was always the life of the party! She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Brownwood.
Survivors include nieces, Carolyn Stevens of Early, Betty Delman and husband Don of Midlothian, Susie Barfknect and husband Tony of Eden; nephew, Bob Rudloff of Eden as well as several other nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Eunice Stevens and Opal Kenton; two brothers, J.H. Rudloff and Billy Don Rudloff, and a nephew, Roger Tex Stevens.
