He was born in Lexington, Virginia on January 30th, 1954, and was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Helen Bernice Chaplin McManama. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Edward McManama, Jr.
Affectionately known as "Kenny Mac," he was a longtime employee of Federal Mogul in Blacksburg with over 30 years of service. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, and was a member of the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. He loved hunting, collecting and shooting guns, riding through the mountains in his truck, and sleigh riding with his family. A loving husband, father and brother, Kenny's wisdom, wit, and love for his family will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish is memory are his wife of 35 years, Mary Sue McManama; a son, Jonathan McManama of Narrows; a daughter, Jessica McManama and James Gill of Hinton, West Virginia; one grandchild on the way; a sister, Deborah Thorne and husband Roger of Narrows.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Dennis Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Cemetery near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
