B.C. DOWNS
Burnett C. Downs, 83, of 985 Gaddis Ave., died Wednesday, March 14 in an Elmore County nursing home. Funeral services were Friday, March 16, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Bill Hudson officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery with Ridout's Prattville Chapel directing.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Imogene A. Downs, Prattville, one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Ann Hassell, Palistine, Texas; one step-brother, A.L. Downs, Birmingham; and one grandchild.
Active pallbearers were George Allison, Patrick Bailey, Frances Goggins, P.C. Williams and John Watkins, Honorary pallbearers were Homer Wallace and A.V. Armstrong.
