Mr. Allred, age 73 of Charlotte passed away October 14, 2014 at Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis. Mr. Allred was a native of Charlotte born on January 11, 1941 son the late Henry Leslie and Emma Cook Allred in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Wilma Jeanne Allred and a sister Carole Ann Allred. He was a member of Plaza Baptist Church, graduate of Central High School class of '59 and retired from Fool Lion in 2005. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30AM to 1:00 PM Friday October 17, 2014 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road with a service to follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Reverend David Gales. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Mr. Allred is survived by two sons, Gordon Allred and Gilbert Allred both of Mooresville, NC, two daughters, Glynis Coley of Concord, NC and Karen Myers of High Point, NC, sister Debbie Brickey of Charlotte, three brothers Kenny Allred, Phillip Allred and David Allred all of Charlotte, and 12 grandchildren.
