Area Resident Dies Suddenly
William F.C. Theobald, age 89 years, a resident of Rt. 1, Greenfield, died at 10:02 p.m. Saturday in Hancock Memorial Hospital the result of a heart attack he had suffered several hours before.
Born near Ray's Crossing in Shelby County Dec. 25, 1881, the son of Charles and Sophia Haehl Theobald, Mr. Theobald had lived in the Greenfield area for 35 years and previous to that time in Indianapolis, Marion and Shelby counties. He was a retired general building contractor.
On August 15, 1902 [1903], he was married to Bessie Lee Wolf, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Marie Wilhite of Tucson, Arizona; three sons, Lester, Harold and Fredrick Theobald, all of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Miss Irene Theobald, Rt. 6, Shelbyville; three brothers, Paul and Riley Theobald, Rt. 6, Shelbyville and George Michael Theobald, Rushville.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Sleeth Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Richard Rasche, officiating. Interment in Forest Hill cemetery, Shelbyville.

Shelbyville, Ind. - Services for William F.C. Theobald, 89, R.R. 1, Greenfield, a retired general contractor, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Sleeth Funeral Home with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. He died Staturday in the Hancock County Hospital at Greenfield.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Bessie Theobald.
