Helen A. (Aleshire) Witt was born in St. Mary Township, Hancock Co., IL to Benton and Emma (Burton) Aleshire. She was first married to Leo Coleman in June of 1918. He preceded her in death Dec. 14, 1965. She then married Alvin Witt on March 25, 1967. He survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and an active volunteer for the St. Louis Christian Children's Home.

Surviving, include her husband, a son, a daughter, a step-daughter, one step-son; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, 2 sisters, and a brother.

Services were held on Friday, May 31, 1991 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery in Plymouth.

Memorials were designated to the Plymouth Old Settlers Fund.
