Services for Melba Ruth Walker, 82, owner of Plaza Villa Beauty Shoppe, bookkeeper and caregiver, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Lacy Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Melba was born in Loco, OK to Henry and Rookh Mullins. She married James F. “Son” Walker on Nov. 15, 1951, in Lawton, OK. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1990. Melba was a proud member of Graham Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons, Michael Lynn Walker and wife Susan, Stephenville; James Henry Walker and wife Connie, Stephenville, Randall Wayne Walker and wife Kendra, Arlington, grandchildren, Micah Walker, Fort Worth, David Walker and wife Julie, Stephenville; Keilah and husband Eric Grosze, Aledo, Weston Walker, Columbia, S.C., Trevor Fawver, Crowley, Staci Arpin, Stephenville, and great grandson Stryker Miles Walker.
