Carlton Wayne “C.W.” Marley of Jourdanton passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the age of 87.
C.W. was born April 6, 1927 in Fowlerton to William Henry and Margaret Emma (Hardcastle) Marley.
C.W. loved to hunt and fish. He worked in the oilfield all his life. C.W. was very patriotic, kind and generous. He loved his dogs, Rascal, Prissy and Nicco.
C.W. is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Marley; sons, Johnnie Marley, David Bailey and Henry Marley; daughters, Novella Hancock, Linda Anderson and Donna Marley Speers and sisters, Elnora Franklin, Mayme “Tiny” Feilder, Anna “Sue” Dean and Fay Ulbrick. He is also survived by grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, Dawn, Tasha, Jack, David, Andrew, Jennie, John, Pattie, Diane, Roger, Kara, Carl, Jared, Ian, Hank, Sam, Willie, Kathy, Michael, Cynthia, Laura and Christian as well as thirty three great grandchildren.
C.W. is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emma Marley; Henretta Weatherly, Elizabeth Avant, William “Bill” Marley, Cecil Marley, Jessie Marley, Louis Marley, Roxie Marley, Sonny Boy Marley and Allen Anderson; granddaughter, Casey Anderson and great grandson Christopher Chavez.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Pleasanton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 636 Oakhaven, visitation will be conducted at 10:00 am until shortly before service time.
Interment will follow at the Fowlerton Cemetery.
