MONTICELLO-Vergle M. Han, 68, Rt. 4, Monticello, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at White County Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there four days.

Born Jan. 30, 1908, in White County, he was the son of
Robert D. and Twinkle Kellogg Han. He was married Aug. 1, 1928, to Doris Christiansen, who survives.

A resident of White County most of his life, he was at one time a bartender at the Anglers Restaurant and Town & Country Inn. For 18 years, he was employed by Cains Grocery and Meat Market. He was a farmer most of his life and was a member of the Christian Church and Moose Lodge.

Surviving with the wife are three sons, Jack, Rt. 2, Monticello; Don, Romney; and Dick, Monticello; one brother, Robert, Austin, Tex.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One daughter preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, the Reverends M.A. Madsen and Herman J. Weber officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday.
