Paul J. "Sam" Rush, 92, of West Mifflin, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at Jefferson Hills Manor. He was born May 31, 1922, in Duquesne. He was retired from U.S. Steel - National Tube Works in McKeesport, as an accounting clerk. He was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, and longtime member of the former Men's Choir and choir director at Holy Name Church, Duquesne. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Ferrari) Kasten Rush; stepfather of Paul (Dianne) Kasten, of Waldorf, Md.; grandfather of Elizabeth Kasten and Gregory (Isabel) Kasten; and is also survived by a niece and nephew and was a good friend of Tony Godine. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. A blessing service will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Name Church of Christ The Light of the World Parish with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
