Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Hebron M.B. Church in Egypt with the Rev. Odell Bowens officiating. Burial will be in New Hebron Cemetery. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors of Verona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Flora Lee Brownlee Brinker and her husband, Bobby, and Nicole Brownlee Watkins and her husband, David, all of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Natasha Brownlee and Marvin Brownlee; four great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Jamal, Jaylia and Javis; her stepfather, Willie “Fat” Flakes of Verona; three sisters, Lou Ella Brownlee of Woodland, and Virgie Traylor and Florence Tucker, both of Tupelo; five brothers, Lee “Bro” Brownlee and his wife, Mary, and Larry Joe Brownlee, all of Funston, Ga., Robert Brownlee and his wife, Kate, of Plantersville, and Henry “Rabbit” Brownlee, and Ronnie Flakes and his wife, Ollie, all of Tupelo; two aunts; three uncles; a special nephew, Zell “Peanut” Traylor.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Earnest Brownlee.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
