Lora Lee 'Geed' Hughes, 87, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2014.

Born in Marshall, NC, she was a daughter of the late Major and Pearl Edwards Wilson, and the widow of William Edward 'Bill' Hughes.

Surviving are four children, Randall Hughes of Greenville, Charlotte Floyd of Pickens, Linda Hickum of Greenville, and Sandra Palmer of Oak Island, NC; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nadine Ward of Weaverville, NC, and Jo Bowland of Heiskell, TN. Predeceased were two daughters, Patricia Hughes and Darlene Hughes Rogers; three sisters and three brothers, Pansy Woody, Katie Shook, Helen Forrester, Bob Wilson, Bruce Wilson and Jack Wilson.

Services will be held at New Life Baptist Church on Mon., Oct. 13. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 PM, with the funeral at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
