Dana "Cap" Shelton was born 2/22/22 in Flag pond TN. He was a very special person whom the community loved so much. Cap worked at Shelton's Sawmill through the week but on Wednesday he did not go back to work after dinner because he wanted to make sure he was not late for church. He attended Sweetwater Church of God faithfully and was such a blessing to all of us who went there. He was the Bell Ringer and he took his job very serious.
If I were to rate special people who have crossed my path in this walk of life Cap would be at the top of the list. I never saw him wear anything but the bibbed overhauls. Sadly Cap left us on July 25, 1992 at the age of 70.
