Robert "Bob" Barringer, 85, of Chattanooga, died at his home Saturday, October 11, 2014.
A life long resident of Chattanooga, Bob was born to the late Robert and Carrie Barringer.
He graduated from Central High School and retired from Pitney Bowes with over 35 years of service. Bob was member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Bob had a gift for all things mechanical and shared this gift to help friends and neighbors with needed repairs. Bob had a passion for nature and helping others to enjoy life with his sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jessie; son, Alan (Robyn) Barringer; daughter, Cheryl (Harold) Willoughby; grandchildren, Matt (Hope) Willoughby, Alex Willoughby, Chelsey Barringer, Brandon Barringer; great-granddaughter, Kate Willoughby; sister, Alice Beck; twin brother Eddie (Mary) Barringer and many nieces and nephews.
