The funeral for Daniel Dieleman, 64, of Sully, was at 10 am Nov 7 in Immanuel Baptist Church, Newton. He died Nov 3 in his home.

The Rev Kevin Bauder, pastor of the church and the Rev Willis Thiessen of Sully Community Church officiated. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery, Le Clair Wallace-Pence Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Memorial may be made to the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella or the American Heart Association.

He was born Dec 20, 1920, in Sully, to Daniel and Alida Terpstra Dieleman. He married Lorraine Grosvenor on Dec 24, 1942, in Casper, Wyo. He had farmed near Sully for 15 years and did carpenter work until retiring in 1974. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had been an airplane mechanic in the Army Air Corps.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Dale of Orange Calif., Gary of Garden Grove Calif, Jeryl of Davenport and Michael of Ontario, Calif, a daughter, Mrs Mario (Linda) Comandatore of Yucca Valley, Calif, 12 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four brothers William of Bosque, NM, Harry and Louis both of Sully and Wallace of Prairie City, three Sisters Mrs Louis (Christine) Van Wyk of Pella Mrs Everett ( Harriet) Vande Voort and Mrs James (Sadie) Nikkel, both of Sully.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two children and two sisters.
