Charlotte Craun Bishop. 93, of 540Westover Drive, Bassett, Va. passed away Saturday, Oct 11, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Mrs. Bishop was born on October 6, 1921 in Augusta County, Va. to the late Daniel M. Craun and Stella Wampler. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Cecil Bishop. Charlotte was a member of the Bassett Church of the Brethren where she served as Director of Religious Education during the 1950's and later served as Choir Director, Deacon and Chairman of the Board. She retired from Henry County School System where she taught at Campbell Court Elementary School for over thirty years. Surviving are special friends, Anita Crummett Beckman and husband James L. Beckman of Bridgewater, Va. and Glenda Barnes Stone and husband Ralph M. Stone of Bassett Va.; several nieces and nephews, two sister-in-law. Dorothy Bi8shop and Lena Bishop. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Bassett Church of the Brethren with Reverend Clyde Hylton officiating. Vistation will be from 10:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren, 144 Mount Hermon Church Road, Bassett, Va.
