Lorne Cooke, Scotch Corners, died at his home January 16, 1980, age 73. Mr. Cooke was born at Scotch Corners, July 13, 1906, the son of the late George Cooke an his wife, Elizabeth Hughes. Mr. Cooke and his wife, the former Marion Horne, were married April 18, 1928 at Watson's Corners. A farmer, Mr. Cooke attended Boyd's United Church.
As well as his wife, Mr. Cooke is survived by sons, Ronald, Kenneth, Carl, Wilfred, Orval, and daughters, Freda, Jean, Joyce and Iva.
