Memorial services for Ann Marie Warren will be 2 P.M. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at West Kemper Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Sanders, pastor of West Kemper Baptist Church, and Bro. Wayne Sellers, pastor of Newton First Methodist Protestant Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Kemper Baptist Church Cemetery.

Miss Warren, 60 of Union, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton.

In her younger years, she was competitive in the sports arena. She enjoyed skiing and was noted for skiing 27 miles down the Tombigbee River. She was a star athlete in softball. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles. In recent years, she loved to fish.

Survivors include her father and step-mother: W.C. "Shep" Warren, and wife Mary of Newton; one brother: Johnnie A. Warren of House; one sister: Linda Pulido of San Antonio, TX; and special friend: Amelia Whitte; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Ouida Hopper Warren; one brother: Jerry Robert Warren; her grandparents: Albert and Rosa Hopper and Leslie and Sadie Warren.

West Kemper Baptist Church is located at 7896 Old Jackson Rd., Dekalb, MS 39328.

Newton County Funeral Home, 9998 Hwy. 15 N., Newton, assisted the family in making arrangements.
