: Sherri changed her name from Gerry. She was a mother of 3 boys (David, Greg, and Dale) and had a miscarriage with a little girl (or could’ve been a stillbirth). She was married to William Robert Shirley “Bob” which was my grandfather. She had 3 boys with him and then divorced and moved to California soon after. She went to pursue a career in authoring Screenplays and etc. She was very educated and received multiple degrees however I am not sure what they were exactly I knew she had PhD in literature. She met and married the late Dennis Sanders who was a film director from San Diego and was also a professor at UCLA-San Diego. He passed away a few months after marriage and she moved to LA. She stayed there until the last 6 or 7 years of her life where she reunited herself back with her children in Tennessee. She lived out the rest of her years in Hardin and McNairy county and worked as a college professor at the University of Columbia, University of Phoenix, and Jackson State Community College. She was a very unique person who loved life. She enjoyed to travel and read. She was a kind, Christian woman. -her only granddaughter Mary-Elizabeth Adale (Shirley) Phillips
