HINSDALE - Eileen C. Bell, of 1494 Flanigan Hill Road, passed away Sunday (Oct. 12, 2014) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 6, 1933, in Ischua, she was a daughter of George and Mary Walters Putt. On Sept. 19, 1950, in Richburg, she married Henry J. Bell, who predeceased her July 14, 2004.
Mrs. Bell formerly resided in the Richburg, Bolivar and Friendship areas and worked for 38 years at the American Tile Co. in Olean before retiring in 1995.
She enjoyed gardening, watching cooking shows on television and western movies, especially ones starring John Wayne. She was also an avid Buffalo Sabres fan. She loved her many cats, and her pride and joy was her dog, Ted.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte (Robyn) Burrell of Angelica and Nancy (Bill) Bastian of Wellsville; an adopted son, Jason Bell of California; three grandchildren, Carrie (Stephen) Clayson, Mike (Bobbie Jo) Wilber and Chris Bastian; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Kevin Wilber and Michele Wilber; three brothers, James Putt, Leon Putt and Kenneth Putt Sr.; and a sister, Sarah Bodrieau.
Private graveside services will be held at the Hinsdale Cemetery in Maplehurst.
