Ruth Marie Flatoff April 7, 1945 - Sept. 30, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Ruth Marie Flatoff of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away September 30th at her home. She was the daughter of Marvin L. Hurlbut and Frances K. Hurlbut. Ruth was born on April 7th, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1963 and at the age of 16 she started working at Associates/Citigroup in IT Operations, where she retired in August 2008. Ruth married the late Raymond Daniel Flatoff. Ruth is survived by her 2 brothers, Forrest and Claude Hurlbut, and her only child, Ronald Daniel Flatoff (Lonzy, daughter in-law); grandchildren, Diviniti Edwards, Divatae Edwards, Destine Edwards, and Natalya Marie Flatoff; great-grandson, Jayden Michael Edwards; and her 2 cats, Nutmeg and Lacy. Ruth was preceded in death by Marvin and Frances Hurlbut. Ruth was truly a blessing from God and enriched the lives of all she touched with her loving and caring for others, putting smiles on everyone's face with her personality and generosity. She was a lover of all cats, the Notre Dame football team, and cherished every moment with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
