Francis M. Henry, Mustered into service as a Private on July 29th, 1861, Born August 1837, Died 1916, Buried Heddings Chapel Cemetery, Owen County, Indiana.
Private Henry transferred to the 20th Indiana Infantry in the fall of 1864 with the other surviving members of the 19th He would muster out on February 24th, 1865. Francis filed for a pension in May of 1876.

Francis Marion Henry was born August 6th, 1837 age 79 years, three months, 12 days.
He was born in Monroe county, Ind., near Ellettsville. He was united in marriage to Abbie Christy August 14, in the year of our Lord 1856. To this union were born ten children. All are left to mourn his departure except one, who departed this life August 11, 1871. Besides a host of friends left to mourn his death are thirty-seven grandchildren, twenty-six great grand-children, two brothers Abraham A. Henry of Owen County, William R. Henry of Morgan County and the children—Sarah E. Smock, William T. Henry, Nancy A. Taylor, Cinthy M. Fry, Jonnie A. Henry, Jannie Burcks, Lizzie C. Sims, James W. Henry, Francis A. Henry, Curtis A. Newton.

He united with the M. E. church at Heddings Chapel at an early age. He was a devoted christian and when death came found him ready, and he passed away to the spirit land as if going to sleep. His seat will be found vacant around the family circle. We will all miss him until resurrection morn. August 20, 1862, he was enrolled a member of Co. I, 19th Regt. of Indiana Vol. Inft., to serve three years.
He was a good soldier; never shirked duty, and was always at his post. He was discharged February 1, 1865.
