Mrs. Madelyn Davis born April 14, 1922 departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital, London, Ky. at the age of 91 years. Mrs. Davis was born in Pedro, Ohio the daughter of the late Fannie Bell Miller Long & John Hyland Burgus Long. Madelyn was a homemaker. She enjoyed attending church, reading her bible and doing arts and crafts. She was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church & had previously attended Wagner Ford Church of God in Dayton, Ohio. Madelyn was a resident of Dayton, Ohio for most of her life & had been resident of Leslie Co. for the past 20 years. Mrs. Madelyn Rose Davis was preceded in death by her parents, her loving and devoted husband: Ernest H. Davis, Step-Son: Harold Rick Davis, son-in-law:David Roberts, Grandson: Joseph David "Joey" Roberts, Great Grandson: David Jared Asher, two sisters: Myrtle Long Adams, Infant: Lillian Long, six brothers & four sisters. Mrs. Madelyn Rose Davis leaves the following relatives surviving: one daughter: Fanny Pearl Davis Roberts of Stinnett, Ky., one son: Ernest B. Davis, . & wife Karen of Dayton, Ohio, one brother: James "Jim" Long & wife, Peggy of Arizona, three grandchildren: Ernest B. Davis, Jr. and wife, Tracy, Janice Estep and husband, Victor, Serena Asher and husband, Coy, three great-grandchildren: Laneka Stubblefield & husband, Walter, Jennifer Roberts & husband, Terry, Davin Coy Asher, three great, great, grandchildren: Brannon Stubblefield, Noah Stubblefield, Ryder Roberts, special friend: Blanche Collett & a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
