Gaye was born March 5, 1951, in Ogden, a daughter of Carl and Lorna Elaine Loveredge Farner.
She was married to Harlan Paul Barnard on May 23, 1971, in Brigham City.
Gaye was reared in Brigham City area and was a graduate of Box Elder High School class of 1969. She attended Utah State University in 1970.
She was a member of the LDS church.
Surviving are her husband of Denver; one daughter, Jamie Marie Barnard, Denver; her parents of Brigham City, three brothers and two sisters; Lynn Farner, Brian Farner, Dawnet Farner, Sharon Farner, all of Brigham City; Steven Farner, Roy.
