Margaret V. Buske, 85, passed away peacefully, October 12, 2014, at St. Luke Health Services. Born in Oswego, on October 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Florence (Phillips) Shannon. Margaret was predeceased by her husband George Buske Sr. in 1993, and a sister-in-law, Theresa Shannon. She is survived by sons Joseph and Charles Buske; two step-children Beaver “George” Buske Jr. and Peggy Cuyler; adopted daughter, Margaret Finnigan Tombolillo, all of Oswego; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, John Shannon of East Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Margaret worked at Sealright for a number of years then became a homemaker where she dedicated her heart and soul into her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting her beautiful sweaters for family and friends as well as going to the casino with close friends. Her family wishes to express the special care that was given throughout her stay at St. Luke Health Services. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter’s Church. Entombment will follow at All-Saints Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
