Margaret Rose Chapman, 75, passed away at Willowcrest Care Center in South Milwaukee on Saturday, December 16, 2006. She was born in Mohawk, Michigan, daughter of John and Elizabeth (nee: Hoffenbecker) Betzing. She was a Racine resident for most of her life. Margaret retired in 1992 from Walgreens, where she worked as a cashier at the Durand Avenue store. Margaret was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church; the Imperial Apts. Afternoon Book Club; Forward Together (Humble Park); and the Y.W.C.A. She will be remembered by her family as a good mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was loved by many who will miss her. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Cheryl Chapman, and Glenn Chapman; grandchildren, Tony Rizzo, John Chapman, and Rachel Chapman; niece, Laura Bartels, and nephew, Robert (Jodi) Bartels, all of Racine. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Patricia (Victor) Dlapa, and JoAnn (Robert) Bartels. Memorial services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006 with Rev. Michael D. Zarling officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, 3301 E. Forest Hill Ave, Oak Creek, on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Memorials to Epiphany Lutheran Church have been suggested.
