It is with deep sadness the Lombard family announces the death of Chuck, beloved son and brother. Chuck died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on September 13, 2015. Born in Truro on August 28, 1956, Chuck attended St Mary's, Truro Junior and Senior High Schools followed by the Vocational School where he studied welding. As a youth, Chuck was a natural athlete and loved playing baseball, hockey and golf. His sport involvement and dreams for the future were cut short at age 18 by serious injuries he sustained in a car accident that left him permanently disabled. Each of us will treasure our own special memories of Chuck, forever remembering his perseverance and wit. Chuck is survived by his mother, Noreen; brothers Reid (Eileen); Danny (Elaine); sister, Linda (Patrick) and numerous relatives. He was predeceased by his father, Charles James; his brother, Kirby Paul; his nephew Dillon; great nephew Sebastian; paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Lombard and maternal grandparents, Reginald and Iola Williams. The family sends a sincere 'thank you' to Constable Katelyn Titus for her empathy, direction and patience during our time of need. There will be no visitation by family request. A private graveside Interment will take place at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery with Fr. Dariusz Miskowicz, officiating. Donations in Chuck’s memory may be made to Colchester Community Workshops. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
