"Mrs. Alice Thompson Dies Late Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Thompson, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 24th, 1943, from the Coleman Funeral HOme in Cameron with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died at the home of her son, Louis Mitchell at Clarkson, December 22. She had contracted influenza which set up complications and developed pneumonia.
Mrs. Thompson, mother of Henderson Thompson of Cameron, was a native of Arkansas, born in Columbus County in 1863. Her maiden name was Miss Lou Alice Wimberley.
Surviving are five sons and one daughter as follows: Louie Mitchell of Clarkson, Lloyd Mitchell of Cameron, John Mitchell of Dayton, Henderson Thompson of Cameron and Paul Thompson of Temple and Mrs. John Blazon of Bryan."
