Yvonne M. Morris passed away at her home in Medford, Ore. Monday, April 28, 2014 with her son and best friend at her side. Yvonne was born March 14, 1939 in Portland, Oregon.
She graduated from Camas High School in Washington. In 1971 she married Thomas Morris. They moved to Medford in 1976. At that time they both began to collect antiques which became a big part of their lives.
Yvonne retired from Cummings Transfer after many years as a bookkeeper. She and Tom visited Hawaii and loved it so much they bought a home on Kauai and divided their time between there and Medford.
She was one of the original members, and past president, of the Southern Oregon Antiques and Collectibles Club. Yvonne was also a high scoring bowler for many years with the S'Pear Pickers team. Her hobbies were crossword puzzles, reading, and playing slot machines.
She is survived by her son, Michael Morris; grandson, Casey; sister, Pat Harness; stepchildren, Tom, and Paula; her mother, Dolly Anders, who is still enjoying life at 103 years of age; one niece; many nephews; and eight (special) grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Thomas Morris; father, Oliver Johnstone; and brothers, Kenneth, Michael, and Tom.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd., Medford, Oregon. Reception to follow.
