CLARKSBURG — Vickie Murphy, 60, of Clarksburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at her residence.
She was born May 19, 1954, in Welch, WV, the daughter of the late John West and Bertha Rachel Viars Kibbey.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Glen Ray Murphy Sr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Hardyman of MD; one son, Glen Murphy Jr. of CA; five grandchildren; three sisters, Eloise Whichard of NC, Gloria Miller of MD and Violet Walsh of Clarksburg; three brothers, Johnny Kibbey of Welch, Delmer “Roger” Kibbey of VA and Leslie Kibbey of IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Franklin, Donald and Larry.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. The funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Upper Room Pentecostal Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Roy Scates. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton.
