Sheila A. Wallace, 59, of 180 Blooming Grove Road, Hanover, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of David L. Wallace.
Born Oct. 27, 1943, in Littlestown, she was the daughter of the late Grant Appler and Bernice (Dayhoff) Appler of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Littlestown.
She was a graduate of Littlestown High and attended Lebanon Valley College. She was a piano teacher and church organist and choir director in the Hanover area for many years.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Littlestown; the church council; and the church's Ladies Auxiliary and Evangelism Committee.
Surviving are a son, Shannon Crouse of Hanover; a daughter, Christina Ackerman of Hanover; three stepdaughters, Susan Sliker of Lancaster, Karen Newell of Rutledge and Carol Schroeder of Bethel Park; a stepson, Brian Wallace of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Marion K. Fekula of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Judith Cruntzer of Maryland; three grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Gene Appler.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
