She was the daughter of George and Gladys Fleck. She was married to Lieut. General James M. Keck, United States Air Force.

Barbara Bobbie Brown Keck was born on May 4, 1923, the daughter of George and Gladys Fleck. She grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island where she graduated from Cranston High School and was captain of her high school swim team. Later, she graduated from Edgewood Secretarial School. On June 2, 1943, she married her high school sweetheart, James Keck. They moved 34 times during her husband’s military career. She and her husband owned seven horses over the years and rode together in Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Nebraska and Texas. In 1987 she and her husband moved to the newly open Air Force Village II in San Antonio, Texas. She was in charge of the flowers for the Air Force Village church services for many years and helped raise funds for the swimming facilities and was chair of the Chapel Decorating Committee. She taught Sunday School and was a leader with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She was the President of several Officer Wives Clubs and the President of her golf association. She died age age 91 on May 30, 2014 at her home in San Antonio, Texas. Survivors included her husband of 71 years, James Moulton Keck; two daughters and two sons-in-law; one son and daughter-in-law; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held in the Air Force Village II Chapel. Interment was at West Point. Memorial contributions were suggested to the Air Force Village II Protestant Church Building Fund at 5100 John D. Ryan Boulevard in San Antonio, Texas.
