Mr. Gannon was a native of Louisville, Ky., and lived in Modesto 30 years and previously lived in San Jose 18 years.
He was a general contractor and built the Modesto Christian School gymnasium.
He coached Little League to Senior League baseball for 11 years.
He enjoyed woodworking and cabinetry.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gannon of Modesto; children, Shelley Snodgrass and Pamela Gannon, both of Modesto; brother, Stephen Gannon of Springfield, Mo.; sisters, Faith Truman of San Jose and Rebekah Borgen of Boerne, Texas; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A graveside service will be at 1p.m. Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
