Sarah Kate Owens Thomason, age 78, of Kimberly, AL, died on January 14, 2001. She was a member of First Baptist Kimberly.

Preceded in death by three sons, George Kenneth Thomason, James Terry Thomason, Allen Wayne Thomason and a brother Lafayette Owens. Survived by husband, George Eugene Thomason; sons, Robert Owen Thomason (Mary Jo), and Philip Ronald Thomason (Tommie); daughters, Sheryl Ann Bains (deceased Rhondel), Linda Kay Minor (J. L. Minor), and Judy Lynn Warren (Larry); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Edward Owens; sister, Jean Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, 1 p.m., at Crestview Memorial Chapel, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery Gardendale, Brother Gary Creel officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Crestview Memorial on Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. Crestview Memorial Funeral Home is directing.
