Dustin Earl "Big D" Turner, age 28, of Mondovi, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born on February 14, 1986, in Chanute, Kansas, one of eight children born to Earl and Glenda (Severson) Turner. Dustin attended Gilmanton Schools, graduating with the class of 2004. Dustin enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, playing softball in Mondovi, Wisconsin, and just being outside enjoying nature. He also enjoyed a good game of cribbage or road tripping with his brother Blake. He will be remembered as a man with one "Hell-of-a" sense of humor, being a great friend to many and never afraid to have a friendly beer with them. And it goes without saying, he had a special loving spot in his heart for his nieces and nephews.
Dustin will be sadly missed but always remembered by his mother, Glenda Turner; his father, Earl Turner; brothers and sisters, Glenn (Lacey) Turner, Jill Turner, Hope Turner, Jennifer Hendrix, Blake (Nicole) Turner, all of Gilmanton, Wisconsin, Shane (Kayla) Turner of Fayette, Iowa, and O'Ryan Turner of Mondovi; nieces and nephews, Zachary; his goddaughter, Alyson; Madyson; Glenn "Frankie" Jr.; Karlee; Matthew; and one on the way; maternal grandmother, Judy Severson of Mondovi; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Neomi Turner of Chanute, Kansas; along with aunts, uncles, other relatives and countless friends.
Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Glenn Severson, and his cousin, Randy Ketelboeter, Jr., and Matthew Triggs. A visitation and funeral service will be at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Mondovi on Monday, October 13, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. until the service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Joel Bacon officiating.
