Queen E. Evans, 75, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday at Loretto. Born in Augusta, GA, she resided in Syracuse for 50 years. Queen retired from Crouse Hospital after 20 years of service and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Mose Evans in 2001. Queen is survived by sons, Anthony Phillips; Eric (Michelle) Evans, and Ira Evans, all of Syracuse; sisters, Mattie Norton and Evelyn (Lorenzo) Nelson, both of FL; brother, Dock (Pearl) Young of Syracuse; aunts, Jeanette Bernette and Tressie Lemon, both of FL; two granddaughters, Zanaria and Victoria Evans; very special sister-in-law, Vernell Evans; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Calling Hours: Tuesday, October 14, 10 a.m. to noon with funeral services to follow at noon at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie Street, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Farone & Son Funeral Home has arrangements.
