Mary was born in Hazard, Neb. on Sept. 16, 1906, and had four brothers and one sister. She was the last surviving member of her family. She married Harry F. Laws in Oberlin, Kansas, on Oct 17, 1926. They lived in Nebraska, Montana, Washington and Southern California before settling in Scott Valley in 1968. Mary was a loving mother of 10 children. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; sons, William and Richard and daughter Phyllis. She enjoyed being a mother, housewife, gardener, and caregiver to her family. One of her favorite pastimes was researching genealogical history of her family.
