After her 1st husband died Mae did not remarry for a long time. She was employed in the hotel in Big Sandy, Upshur, Texas until her death. Sometime between 1920 and 1930 she married E. T. Douglass, a traveling salesman. I suspect she met him at the hotel. After Mae died E. T. Douglass was not seen nor heard of again.
