Danny Alan Burton, 49, of Lafayette & formerly of Boswell, died, Friday, October 10, 2014.
He was born, May 12, 1965, in Danville, IL, to the late Cecil Burton & Geneva (Prather) Burton. He was a 1983 graduate of Benton Central High School.
He married Amber (Phillips) Burton, May 2, 1992, in Boswell; she survives. He worked as an Assembly Technician at Caterpillar & had previously worked at Globe Valve. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching his daughters play soccer & run track, tailgating & football. He enjoyed restoring cars & taking them to car shows. He also enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his yard & spending time with his family. He loved NASCAR & also enjoyed going to the Indianapolis 500. He had previously coached his daughter in soccer.
Surviving with his Wife, Amber Burton are two Daughters, Abigail & Elizabeth Burton, Mother, Geneva Burton, four Sisters, Barbara (Tom) Happ, Betty (Clyde) Gibson, Janice (D.R.) Mills, Kathy (Tom) Hasser, two Brothers, Darrell (Betty) Burton & Donald Burton & several Nieces & Nephews.
He is preceded in death by an infant Son, Daniel Levi Burton, Father, Cecil Burton, Sister-in-Law, Brenda Burton, two Bother-in-Laws, Keith Snively & Steven Jones.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Boswell Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be at the church at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, with John Morris officiating.
