Linda was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John Briggs; her five children, Dawn Nietopski of Greenville, S.C., David (Michelle) Briggs of Las Vegas, N.V., Erica Briggs of Sunnyvale, Calif., Neil (Alyssa) Briggs of Chemung, N.Y., and Nicole (Jeremy) Gardner of Charleston, S.C.; her four grandchildren, David Michael Briggs of Waverly, Joseph Nietopski of Greenville, S.C., and Nicholas and Madyson Briggs of Waverly.
Linda is also survived by her brother, John White of Springtown, Pa., and her brother through friendship, Patrick Cahill of Sayre. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Erma White of Sayre.
Linda loved spending time with family during annual beach vacations, reading, knitting, quilting, and learning the Italian language. She excelled at everything she tried and taught her family well.
A time of gathering with family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly.
The celebration of Linda's life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Day honoring her memory. A special tribute to Linda's life will be presented on DVD during the funeral service.
