Nicholas M Burton, age 92, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Mabel Shapel, 1111 North Buckeye.

Mr. Burton was born in Ninevah, Ind., moving to Allen county in 1883 when he settled upon a farm. He engaged in farming until his retirement in 1934. For several years he has lived with his daughter, Mrs Shapel. He was a member of the Baptist church.

He is survived by six daughters, Mrs Flo Heath, Kincaid; Mrs Linnie Dowler, Wewoka, Okla.,; Mrs Maude Minich, Delana, Calif., Mrs Alva Adams, Fredonia; Mrs Bertha Sherrill, Blackwell, Okla, and Mrs Shapel, Iola

three sons, Roy Burton, St Louis, Mo; Bert Burton, Iola and Roscoe Burton, Hooper, Colo; and a sister, Mrs Elizabeth Riggs, Independence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Baptist Temple, by the Rev Stanley F Taylor. Burial will be at the Iola cemetery.
