She was born April 14, 1941 in Bloomer to Marie (Davis) and Clement Bresina. She was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1959. After graduation she worked for a short time in Milwaukee and then returned to Chippewa Falls. She worked at the First National Bank and then at the Northwestern Bank in Chippewa Falls. She enjoyed meeting and talking to people, which is why she loved her job as a teller at both banks. She also worked at K-Mart and Cray Research in Chippewa Falls. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Chippewa Falls Lodge #246.
Sally married James Reed on July 22, 1961 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include a daughter, Christine “Chris” (Chuck) Rude of Bloomer; a son, Charles “Charley” (Wendy) Reed of Anderson, South Carolina; four sisters, Barb (Jim Beaudette) Leland of Fall Creek, Mary Pat (Gary) Geissler, Lou Ann (Wayne Steinmetz) Vogler, Debby (Steve) Short all of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Charles “Chuck” (Nancy) Bresina of Chippewa Falls; two brothers-in-law, Dayton (Eileen) Reed of Chippewa Falls, Bob (Ann) Carroll of Eau Claire; five grandchildren; Whitney (Chris) Burton, Morgan Reed, Amber Meehan, Darell Rude, Michael Rude; great-grandchildren, Caroline “Charley” Burton, Dylan Giles, McKoy Meehan, Kaylynn Rude; significant other, Robert “Bob” Paulson of Chippewa Falls and Bob’s daughters, Erika (Jo) Baldowin of Madison, Jennifer (Scott) Wundrow of Cadott; and their children, Seth and Ellie Duellman, Shay and Christy Wundrow; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Clement Bresina on August 8, 2002, Marie Bresina on August 3, 2005; her in-laws, Dayton and Agnes Reed; her husband James on October 14, 1994; son, Anthony “Tony” Reed on December 26, 1982; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Carroll on April 2, 1990; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Leland on November 17, 1981 and a niece, Victoria Lynn Bresina on August 3, 1968.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 15 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth, St. Charles Borromeo officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
