Martha Samantha Park Lamb, 80, of Danville, passed away Thursday October 8, 2014. Born February 1, 1934 she was the daughter of the late William Holton and Dolly Durham Park. From 1950 – 1995 she worked as a nurse and then a licensed practical nurse at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital. Immediately following her retirement, she worked as a private duty nurse for St. Joseph ANC Home care until 2007. She was a descendent of Milton J. Durham, a former city of Danville treasurer and train yard master in the Danville Depot. She was also a descendent of Richard Russell, who was the architect and builder of Old Centre.Martha is survived by her son, Mike (Ann) Lamb of Danville, a brother, William H. Park of Bowie, Md., grandchildren, Christopher Matthew (Aimee) Lamb of Nicholasville, Phillip Michael (Kimberly) Lamb of Lexington, Jennifer Kathleen "Katie" and Abbie Elisabeth Lamb both of Danville, great grandchildren, Tiffany, Mikletich, Evan Mikletich, and Haley Lamb, and nieces and nephews, Veronica Massie, John Douglas Park, and David Park.
